 Watch Matt Damon’s June 2011 speech at the Save Our Schools March. Also, watch the “History of Head Start” video on the Head Start website (http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/ohs). Reflect on how this speech and video makes you feel as early childhood educators. Discuss your plans for upholding the four aspects of professionalism—1. sense of identity;  2. purpose to engage in DAP; 3. commitment to ethical teaching and to child advocacy; 4.  participation in the work as a legitimate livelihood.
